Le Moabi qui croît rapidement à la lumière se multiplie par graine. Pour le planter, il est nécessaire de suivre les étapes suivantes.
Etape 1
Construire la pépinière
La pépinière est un endroit où les graines sont semées et surtout surveillées jusqu’à ce qu’elles donnent des plantules prêtes à être transplantées au champ.
La pépinière est composée des éléments suivants :
Une ombrière pour protéger les graines et les plants du rayonnement direct du soleil ainsi que des pluies fortes. Elle sera construite à base des piquets coupés en forêt et des feuilles de palmier.
Des planches de semis qui sont des endroits où l’on sème les graines, elles auront une largeur d’1 m et une longueur variable. Le substrat des planches sera constitué en proportion de 2/3 de terre du fumier, et de 1/3 de sable fin. Il faut entourer l’ombrière de plants de bambou ou des planches.
Une aire de mise en pot qui est un endroit réservé au remplissage des sachets en plastique des plantules en pot.
Une aire d’exposition qui est l’endroit où les plantules en pots sont stockées.
Une clôture qui permet de protéger la pépinière des animaux.
Un point d’eau devant être proche de la pépinière pour permettre un arrosage facile et régulier.
La pépinière doit être construite sur un terrain plat, avec un accès facile à la terre noire. Si possible, la pépinière devra être proche du lieu de la plantation finale.

Planting the Moabi
The Moabi tree grows very rapidly in good light and is grown from seeds. When planting, the following stages need to be followed.
Stage 1
Construct the nursery
The nursery is where the seeds are sown, and closely monitored until they produce seedlings which are ready for replanting in the field.
The nursery is made up of the following elements:
A shaded-area to protect the seeds and seedlings from direct sunlight as well as heavy rains. This will be made using wooden stakes, cut from the forest, and palm leaves.
Seedbeds where the seeds are sown; these will be 1m wide and have varying lengths. The soil for the seedbeds will be composed of two parts manure to one part fine sand. The shaded area will need to be surrounded by bamboo plants or boards.
A potting area specially reserved for putting the seedlings into pots.
A display area where the potted seedlings are stored.
A fence to protect the nursery from animals.
A water source, which should be close to the nursery in order to ensure easy and regular irrigation.
The nursery should be built on a flat surface, with easy access to black soil. If possible, the nursery should be situated close to the final planting place.

Translation - English Description
Dystonia is a movement disorder characterised by sustained muscle contractions which cause repetitive twisting movements and abnormal postures of a directional character, with a fixed, repetitive pattern. The term was first introduced in 1911 and may currently be applied both to the sign or symptom (the movement disorder as previously identified), and to a group of illnesses in which these abnormal movements constitute the main clinical condition.

Bio
I have a Masters degree in Translating (with Merit) from the University of Salford, from which I received a great deal of insight into different aspects of translation, acquired verbal and written communication skills, and developed excellent computer skills.
I am conscientious and professional. Through my employment so far I have learned how to deal with customers calmly, efficiently and respectfully in a professional manner. I am also a highly motivated and organised person. Nevertheless, I feel that the most important quality for a translator is a love of languages, both others and one’s own. Ever since I was a child I have enjoyed learning foreign languages and playing word games in English. I studied French and Spanish at university, so these are my working languages.
During my Masters degree I worked on a range of technical texts, including legal, financial, scientific and economic documents. Since completion of my degree I have worked on a range of different text types, including political and agricultural work. Therefore I have developed sufficient research skills to cope with almost any topic with which I am presented.
However, my most profound experience is with medical texts. For a terminology project I completed a short summary of the renal dialysis process and provided a bilingual (Spanish and English) glossary intended for use by another translator or interpreter. This involved research into the terms as they are used within the medical field using a wide range of research methods, including parallel texts. I also translated a 4110-word document from Spanish into English, entitled “La distonía como síntoma y como entidad. Bases diagnósticas y terapéuticas” and was again required to produce a glossary of the essential terms, with translations from Spanish into English and definitions in Spanish. Again, I employed a range of research techniques in order to identify an accurate translation. A copy of this translation is available on request. Finally, I completed an 18 000-word dissertation entitled “The concept of norms has been extensively employed in translation studies with reference to literary texts. How far does it remain a viable research tool when applied to a different type of text? A study of medical device brochures from French to English”. This involved an in-depth study of this type of text in both French and English, and also an understanding of the theoretical side of translation, and how this can benefit practical applications.
I have had some experience in consecutive, simultaneous and liaison interpreting, an area in which I hope to further my development soon. I have worked with several different types of translation memory system. A group project was carried out using TRADOS for the translation of an advisory system for tired drivers from English to French, whilst also gaining insight into the many stages of translation project management. My own role within this group was primarily in research and revision, although I also adopted a supervisory role. Due to the positive experience of using a TM tool in such a manner, I have since invested in Wordfast at home and I am looking forward to exploring the technological aspects of translation further.
