I was born and raised in the United States, spending most of my life in Kansas. My mother is Japanese and my father is Chinese. My primary language is English, but the main language spoken in my household (by both my mother and father) is Japanese.
I have a strong interest in Japan and its culture. I have been taking classes in Japanese since high school, at the Center for International Studies. The experiences I acquired from the classes, events, and trips during high school motivated me to continue my future studies.
I am currently in college. Although my major is Human Biology, I am also minoring in Japanese. I have continued my Japanese studies and wish to use it to help me through my college years. Eager to improve, I believe that translating will help me enrich my vocabulary and my understanding of Japanese.
Although I am fairly new to translating, I have confidence in my skills. I have practiced translating in my classes and in small projects. I believe I can produce quality translations and I hope to make strong relations in the future. |
