I graduated with an MA in Translation with Language Technology (Distinction) from the University of Wales, Swansea in 2005. Since then I have been working exclusively in the translation industry, first as a Project Manager and most recently as a freelance translator.

I translate from Spanish and French into English, mainly translating medical, pharmaceutical and legal texts. I will consider other text types, however I will only accept translation projects if I feel capable of producing a high quality translation.

My work as a project manager encouraged me to further develop my management, translation, editing and proofreading skills and also allowed me to gain a greater understanding of the various requirements clients may have. I can therefore work confidently alongside agencies or individual clients.

I have excellent working knowledge of SDL Trados Studio and and have recently attended two eCPD webinars on EMA templates and EU terminology for medical translators.
