I was born in Brazil, where I lived for most of my life. There, I took English classes as a child and later decided to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Translation at Universidade de Brasília, a top university in Brazil. I realised I liked translating even more after I graduated, so I decided to take on further studies in the field. In Brazil, besides working in an admin position for a government agency, I worked as a freelance translator.

Life has brought me to Perth, Australia, where I have been living since 2014. Here I passed strict translation testing (Portuguese <> English) by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) and got my certification.

I pride myself on being professional, adhering to deadlines and being committed to professional development. I am constantly attending webinars and workshops, studying and reading materials to keep in touch with the industry.

While I specialise in areas such as personal documents, academic transcripts, educational material and community translation, I also have a broad range of experience in other fields.

I am also an AUSIT Member (Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators), adhering by a  code of ethics that covers professional conduct, confidentiality, competence, impartiality, accuracy, and other important topics.
