Source text - English The Contractor may employ another sub-employer/subcontractor to make them perform all the works that he has committed within this agreement. In case the sub-employer does not perform the works in accordance with the agreement and its annexes and free from defects, the Contractor is obliged to compensate the damages of the Employer arisen from this condition.
The Employer cannot be transferred to the contractual rights of the workers specified in the agreement and its annexes to another person without obtaining the written consent of the Contractor, and cannot draw up an agreement with any 3rd parties. Otherwise, the Contractor can terminate the agreement without the need to give notice, protest and take a decision.

Source text - Turkish Pervari Hidroelektrik Santrali (HES) Sosyal Etki Değerlendirme (SED) Çalışması Siirt ili, Pervari ilçesi, Beğendik beldesi ile Çobanören ve Sarıdam köylerinde gerçekleştirilen ve bir ayı aşan etnografik alan araştırması ile anket çalışmasının bulgularına dayanmaktadır. Araştırmanın amacı Botan Nehri üzerinde yapılması planlanan Pervari Hidroelektrik Santrali’nin başta Botan Havzası’nda yer alan yerleşim alanlarında yaşanacak toplumsal değişimin ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel boyutları ile anlaşılmasını sağlamaktır. İnşaat öncesi, inşaat ve inşaat sonrası aşamalarında Pervari HES Projesi’nin havza yerleşimlerine olumlu ya da olumsuz etkileri Pervari SED araştırması kapsamında tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Olumsuz etkilere karşı gerekli önlem ve uygulama planlarının oluşturulması ile olası olumlu etkilerin muhafaza ve maksimize edilerek daha çok kişinin faydalanacağı hale getirilmesi Pervari SED araştırmasının temeli olmuştur.
Bilindiği üzere, son yıllarda HES’ler ve HES’lere karşı gelişen kamuoyu, Türkiye gündeminde önemli bir yere sahip olmaya başlamıştır. HES projelerinin uygulama ve uygulama öncesi aşamalarında, projenin etki alanlarındaki toplumsal ve kültürel yapının dikkate alınmaması HES projelerine karşı muhalefet hareketlerinin gelişmesine neden olmuştur. Pervari SED Araştırması, Pervari HES havzası yerleşimlerindeki toplumsal, iktisadi ve kültürel yapıyı çözümleyerek, bölge halkının Pervari HES Projesi’yle ilgili beklenti ve kanaatlerinin yatırımcı firma tarafından anlaşılır kılınmasını amaçlamıştır. Bu yolla Pervari HES Projesi’nin olası olumsuz etkilerinin, önlem ve proje önerileriyle kontrol altına alınması hedeflenmiştir.
Translation - English Pervari Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Research, which was carried out in Beğendik town along with Çobanören and Sarıdam villages of Siirt province, Pervari subprovince, rests on the findings of over a month of ethnographic field work and survey studies. In the outset , the goal of the research is to provide an understanding of the economic, social and cultural dimensions of the societal changes in the settlements within the Botan Basin brought on by the Pervari HEPP planned to be built on the Botan River. The positive or negative effects to the basin settlements before, during and after construction work of the Pervari HEPP Project has been established within the scope of the Pervari SIA research and the prevention of the negative effects alongside the conservation and maximization of the positive effects so as to benefit more of the public has been the foundation of the Pervari SIA research.
As it is known, HEPPs and the public opinion developing towards HEPPs in recent years have been becoming important in Turkey’s agenda . Disregarding the social and cultural underpinnings of the impact zones during preapplication and application processes of HEPP projects engenders the growth of oppositional movements. Pervari SIA Research, by analyzing the social, economic and cultural underpinnings within the Pervari HEPP basin, aims to make the expectations and opinions of the public within the impact zone comprehensible to the investing firm. This way, any possible negative impact of the Pervari HEPP project is intended to be contained through precautionary measures and project suggestions.
