Source text - German
Die wüsten Strassen fliessen lichterloh
Durch den erloschenen Kopf. Und tun mir weh.
Ich fühle deutlich, dass ich bald vergeh-
Dornrosen meines Fleisches, stecht nicht so.
Die Nacht verschimmelt. Giftlaternenschein
Hat, kriechend, sie mit grünem Dreck beschmiert.
Das Herz ist wie ein Sack. Das Blut erfriert.
Die Welt fällt um. Die Augen stürzen ein.
Translation - English The deserted streets run ablaze
Through my extinguished head. And hurt me, do they.
I feel clearly, that I’ll soon decay-
The rose thorns of my flesh, do not so faze.
The night molds. Poisonous streetlight
Has, creeping, smeared her with green diseases.
The heart is like a sack. the blood freezes
The World falls over. Eyes shut tight.

Years of experience: 19. Registered at ProZ.com: Sep 2012.
My passion for language and global politics has led me to work for a major translation firm in project management while working on freelance historical, literary, and luxury-brand translations. My previous work experience has largely involved the hospitality and restaurant industry and marketing (with a focus on copywriting) for a fantastic social enterprise. I love translation, grammar, and transcreation.
