Source text - Turkish Arkadaş ilişkileri çocuğun evinde karşılanamayan en önemli gereksinimlerinden biridir. Arkadaş edinmek ve ilişkiyi sürdürmek belli bir olgunluk ister. Bu bakımdan bir kimsenin ruhsal olgunluğunu kurduğu arkadaşlıklara bakarak saptayabiliriz. Hiç arkadaşı olmayan bir kimsenin önemli ruhsal sorunları olduğunu hiç duraksamadan söyleyebiliriz.
Kimi ana baba çocuğun yaşıtlarıyla oynamasını bilerek engeller. Çocuğuna hem ana baba, hem de arkadaş olabileceğini sanır. Çocuğuyla oynar, onu gezdirir. Ama yaşıtlarıyla ilişkisini ya açıktan ya da dolaylı olarak kısıtlar. Çocuğa çeşitli oyuncaklar alır, evde oyalamak için aşırı çaba harcar. Çocuk yaşıtlarının oyununu camdan izler. Bir süre sonra, örneğin okul çağında, istese de arkadaşlığı nasıl başlatacağını bilemez. Evde oturmayı yeğler.

Translation - English Friendships are one of the most important necessities for children, which cannot be provided at home. Becoming and staying friends with somebody requires a certain amount of maturity. From this point of view one can measure the maturity of a person by looking at his friendships/sociability/the way a person approaches his fellow friends. We can say, with no doubt, that a person without friends has got major psychological issues.
Some parents prevent their children from playing with their peers on purpose. They think they can be both parents and friends to their children, at the same time. They play with their children and take them out walking, but limit them directly or indirectly when it comes to having contact with children of the same age. They buy toys for their children and put enormous effort in trying to amuse them at home/inside the house. Their kids watch how children of their own age play outside. After a while, for example when the child starts going to school, he is not able to make friends even if he wants to. He prefers to stay at home.
Some parents do not prevent their child from having friends, but interfere too much along the way and choose the friends for their child, decides who the child can an cannot play with, gives too much advice/gives advice very often/preaches all the time and exagerrates the dangers which could possibly come frome friends.
Overprotected and limited children will have difficulties in making friends and will feel uneasy about his relations throughout his lifetime.

Bio
I was born in Holland in 1982 and came to turkey in 2006. My parents are both Turkish, so I am a native speaker in the languages Turkish and Dutch (Flemish) and besides Turkish and Dutch, I speak English very well .
I studied Law for a year in Holland (UVT) and a year psychology. I decided I wanted to live in Turkey, so I left Holland in 2006 and I started working as a Dutch and English teacher at a language school in Trabzon (TEOL). I am still working there.
I started studying again two years ago. I study English Language and Literature at KTU in Trabzon, Turkey.
I have many years of experience in translating documents. I started translating in Holland; mainly documents from insurance companies from Dutch to Turkish. Later in Turkey I started translating more and more.
Mostly I have translated law and insurance documents until now. I have also translated personal documents like pasports and IDs. I also have some experience in translating stories/fiction.
