그리고 처음으로 자연에서 바라본 시점으로 풍경화를 그린 화가 김홍도(1745~1806)의 작품도 이 같은 점이 잘 드러난다. 같은 시기 다른 화가들은 세계적인 관점(원근법)을 적극적으로 받아들이고 있었다.
뒤이어 금강산을 주제로 한 작품 ‘금강산’에 대해 언급 할 수 있다.
이 그림은 화가 정선의 작품이다.
또한 이우환의 꿈과 악몽 사이를 초현실주의적으로 바라본 예리한 선과 환상적인 구성을 이룬 풍경화를 언급 할 수 있다. 종말론적인 시각으로 바라본 몽환적인 산을 배경으로 앞쪽에는 거북이 한 마리가 그려진 작품이다.
그림에는 물 밖으로 뛰어 오른 물고기 한 마리가 공중에 매달린 듯 그려져 있다.
환상적인 느낌의 구름을 배경으로 역동적이고 살아 움직이는 듯한 물고기가 화면을 가득 채우고 있는 구성이다.
이 작품은 신기루나 환상 같은 느낌을 주기도 한다. 하지만 이러한 접근법은 중국 비단길의 연결을 통해 받은 유럽의 영향 때문이라고 추측한다. 이 접근법은 조선말에 바뀌었다.
