作为全国唯一称得上“灯都”的中山市古镇镇，超过21000家灯饰企业大半都有涉足出口市场。尽管近年来受金融风暴、债务危机的影响，出口形势已无法回到鼎盛时期的水平，然而随着全球经济的逐步复苏，灯饰出口也正朝着稳步增长的方向恢复元气。
无论是从进出口相关部门提供的数据，还是企业自身对未来市场的研判，都能明显地看出目前灯饰出口的走向大致是这样的：欧美市场增长恢复迅速，而非洲、拉美等新兴市场有巨大的挖掘潜力；节能灯、LED等新光源将成为世界主流，在替换传统光源的过程中，对出口是一大利好；自主品牌、自有知识产权的产品利润空间更高。
中山海关的统计数据也显示，广大民营企业是灯饰出口的主力，同时也在出口畅旺的环境中分享到更多的利润。据海关相关部门负责人介绍，目前中山灯饰出口的目的地遍布除南极洲外的全球六大洲，尤其受到欧美国家商家和消费者欢迎，出口的灯饰中有近七成是销往欧美各国。

As the only “lighting city” in China, Guzhen City holds more than 21,000 lighting industries, where half of them have a part in export businesses. Even though the exports aren’t as good as it were because of the financial and debt crisis, but they are regaining their pace along with the stabilization of the world’s economies.
Whether its statistics from import and export related sectors or from the enterprise itself, the results of lighting exports are the same: The exports to Europe and America are regaining their former pace while Africa and South America show promising export potentials. Power-saving lighting and LED have became a trend which is a good factor for exportation. Self-owned brands and products with self-owned intellectual property rights bring better profits.
The statistics from Zhongshan custom also show that private enterprises are the main players in exportation which earn them huge profits in this export boom. The custom explained that these products were exported to 6 of the continents excluding Antarctica, and are most welcomed in Europe and America where around 70% of the products were exported there.
