Source text - English XX (XX 40 mg / XX 160 mg) is indicated for the treatment of high coronary heart disease (CHD) -risk adult patients with mixed dyslipidaemia characterized by high triglycerides and low HDL-cholesterol levels whose LDL-C levels are adequately controlled while on a treatment with XX 40 mg monotherapy.
The respective effects of XX and XX are complementary. XX is more effective in reducing LDL-C and total cholesterol but presents only modest effects on TG and HDL-C while fenofibrate is very effective in decreasing TG and increasing HDL-C, but with few effects on LDL-C.
Additionally, XX have the properties to modify the size and density of LDL-C particles to make them less atherogenic.
XX and XX in combination have also been shown to synergistically increase the transcriptional activities of PPARα receptors.
Prior to initiating XX, secondary causes of combined dyslipidaemia should be excluded and patients should be placed on a standard cholesterol and triglycerides-lowering diet which should be continued during treatment.
The recommended dose for adults is one capsule taken daily by oral route during evening meal.

XX 및 XX 각각의 효과는 상호 보완적이다. XX는 LDL-C 및 총 콜레스테롤 감소에 더욱 효과적이지만 TG 및 HDL-C에는 미미한 효과를 보인 반면, XX는 TG 감소 및 HDL-C 증가에 매우 효과적이지만 LDL-C에는 보다 적은 효과를 보였다.
더불어 XX는 LDL-C 입자의 크기와 밀도를 변형시켜 이들의 동맥경화성을 낮추는 특성을 갖는다.
XX와 XX의 조합은 또한 PPARα 수용체의 전사 활성을 상승적으로 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다.
XX를 투여하기 전, 복합형 이상지질혈증의 이차성 원인이 배제되어야 하며, 환자는 치료 중 계속될 수 있는 표준 콜레스테롤 및 트리글리세라이드 저하 식이요법하에 있어야 한다.
성인의 권장용량은 1일 1회 1캡슐을 저녁 식사 시 경구 복용하는 것이다.
