Translation - Dutch Voor een beter begrip van het menselijk lichaam, de ontwikkeling van nieuwe medicijnen of cosmetische producten, het creëren van nieuwe preventieve, diagnostische of therapeutische technieken, zijn onderzoeken en testen nodig. Onderzoeken en testen die moeten plaatsvinden bij zieke of gezonde personen die zich daarvoor vrijwillig opgeven. Een van de problemen waar wetenschappers tegenaan lopen, is het vinden van proefpersonen die zich willen lenen voor hun onderzoek.

Source text - Dutch De term "Boulle marqueterie" of " Marqueterie Boulle" wordt zowel gebruikt voor de techniek als voor de stijl. Hoewel technisch gezien deze term ook gebruikt kan worden voor marqueterie met bloemmotieven in contrasterende houtsoorten, wordt in het onderstaande verhaal met "Marqueterie Boulle" de marqueterie met messing en schildpad bedoeld waar de term meestal mee wordt geassocieerd.
Translation - French Le terme ‘Boulle marqueterie’ ou ‘Marqueterie Boulle’ est aussi bien utilisé pour la technique que pour le style. Bien que techniquement ce terme peut également être employé pour la marqueterie avec les motifs de fleurs aux espèces de bois contrastantes, dans le document suivant le terme ‘Marqueterie Boulle’ signifie la marqueterie avec le laiton et l’écaille de tortue avec lesquels le terme est souvent associé.

With a near native knowledge of French and English, and after living in France for quite some years, Cora learned the techniques of translating and interpreting at the ITV in Utrecht. More recently, she has completed studies in literary translations at the Vertalersvakschool in Amsterdam Her professional experience goes beyond the understanding of language and culture. Nursing, hotel management, and international cooperation are all fields where she was able to learn a lot.
Today, Cora specializes in medical, technical, business and cultural translations, and in subtitling.
As a writer, Core has published three books – two of those were stories about Burma, the other was about entrepreneurship for translators. (All books are in Dutch.)
For her personal development and to keep up with the changes in her profession, Cora regularly follows courses in writing and translating. She updated her translation proficiency with a course in medical terminology.
