instruktors

Training instructors help people to learn new skills or improve the skills they have. They train people in all kinds of subjects, from craft skills to customer service.

How they deliver training depends on the skills they are teaching. They might:

teach in a classroom setting
be online to help trainees with e-learning
organise individual and group exercises
demonstrate practical tasks
offer one-to-one coaching.
They need to prepare teaching materials for each session. Many instructors also assess the performance of trainees.

Training instructors usually work between 37 and 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Occasionally they may have to work outside office hours to fit in with trainees. Depending on the skills they teach, they may spend time inside, in offices, factories or workshops, or outside.

Salaries may range from around £16,000 a year to £26,000 or more.

Training instructors should:

be competent and experienced in the skills they teach
have excellent communication skills
be able to demonstrate and explain accurately and clearly
be able to organise their sessions and keep to a schedule
have an interest in how people learn.
Example sentence:

Komunikāciju prasmju apmācības kursā ir jāiekļauj stresa menedžments
