Basically, both terms that were selected by the client can't be found anywhere except on non-ENS pages, no matter how you write them. Personally, they don't tell me anything and I would rather hope not seeing them in the glossary. Phil's right; most of the documents I found had been translated in a very poor and sloppy manner.

offense (with an s)? Handball is an essentially European sport. Please ask the client why they have opted for terminology derived from American football.

Hello Irene "attacking position" would be "Angriffsposition"; here, it's "Positionsangriff" - the reverse. It's a tactic.

From the link I posted below:

As said, it's the opposite of "Konterspiel" (counter attack):
"Bestandteil der Mannschaftstaktik als wirkungsvoller schneller Gegenangriff bei noch nicht formierter gegnerischer Abwehr"

What they want to say here is that the wings aren't much involved in any typical attack scenario against an organized defense (except for passing the ball or being part of some kind of "maneuver"), but they're the ones doing the counterattacks, so the risk of injuries is minimal.

As said at the other question, Positionsangriff is the opposite of "Gegenstoß" (it's right there in the tidbit of text we got). Else:

You don't say whether you've done any research, so you may know this already, but handball players have a position and a stance. It may be the latter here - otherwise it would presumably be Angriffsposition.
