Polish term
mleczko anhydrytowe
Polish to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering

anhydrous milky layer
Since this is something that has to be removed, it is a layer that has a milky appearance. During the formation stage, it is a cream that comes to the top. Once it hardens, it appears milky/matte.

Discussion
milk, you say? cold at least, I hope? ;)
Polish translation of laitance = biała powłoka tworząca się na powierzchni świeżo ułożonego betonu.
but kidding aside, "milky layer" is a kind of a general term, don't you think? I just thought that "laitance" is more specific and more... corresponding to the word "mleczko".
And as I'm finding it now EVERYWHERE with anhydrite I think I'll use it :) But thank you!
