I have a bilingual glossary .txt file, where the terms are separated by line breaks.

Beveiligingssloten,Security locks
bevestigingsbouten,"fixing bolts, retaining bolts"
bevestigingsconstructie,attachment frame

Some of them are capitalized. I want to UNCAPITALIZE the capital letters in my text, while if possible, maintaining capitals in things such as names, etc

Anyone have any clever suggestions? (Other than e.g. using Format | Change Case in Microsoft Word)

In Notepad++, go to TextFX | TextFX Characters | you'll find many option to play with case / capitalization. Remember to first select the text on which you want apply TextFX. I think TextFX is installed by default. If you don't have it, search for it on Notepad++ website.

Of course, you cannot automatically uncapitalize some words and let some other unchanged. You have to manually select what you want.
