Gracias por sus sugerencias. Me parece que "escalar" es un falso amigo:
Scaling: act of measuring or arranging or adjusting according to a scale > medir/medici�n a escala. "Escalar" no es medir/reducir/agrandar a escala:
escalar1.
1. tr. Entrar en una plaza fuerte u otro lugar vali�ndose de escalas.
2. tr. Subir, trepar por una gran pendiente o a una gran altura.
3. tr. Subir, no siempre por buenas artes, a elevadas dignidades.
4. tr. Entrar subrepticia o violentamente en alguna parte, o salir de ella rompiendo una pared, un tejado, etc.
5. tr. Levantar la compuerta de la acequia para dar salida al agua.
6. tr. Ar. Abrir escalones o surcos en el terreno.

En fin, parece que no existe una traducci�n oficial, as� que tal vez lo mejor sea que lo deje sin traducir.

Melody of creation

Teor�a del Dr. Hartmut M�ller ...Cislenko was able to prove that segments of increased species representation were repeated on the logarithmic line of body sizes in equal intervals (approx. 0.5 units of the decadic logarithm). In this context we speak today of a so called logarithmic scale-invariance of frequency distributions among biological species, depending on the body size, or mass, of the organism.

Scaling in Physics
About the same time the physicists discovered the phenomenon of logarithmic scale-invariance (scaling) in the frequency distribution of elementary particles depending on their rest masses (Bjorken, Feinmann, M�ller). In 1982
M�ller successfully proved it for all known particles, nuclei and atoms as well as for asteroids, moons, planets and stars. Scaling is a global phenomenon, maybe even the construction plan of the universe. In a series of articles (1982 � 1989, Institute for Scientific-Technical Information
