I couldn't make sense of this either and I had a good look at it. I agree with Phil that it doesn't add much to the sentence, especially the part from compresión to harmonica. I wondered if it should have been comprensión too, but either way I don't get it. Good luck!

I'm not sure what it means either, but the sentence still makes perfect sense if you leave it out, which makes me think it may be waffle.

This is my personal "technique" when faced with obscure language such as this: go right to the meaning and render it most straightforwardly. Trying a word-by-word rendition would turn the translation equally obscure!
