Deze term komt voor in een stuk over chemische eigenschappen van bepaalde materialen die gebruikt worden in connectoren. Het stukje luidt:

"This material is particularly resistant to the effect of isopropanole (which is used for the removal of flooding compound)"

Ik vond wel een Engelse definitie van 'flooding compound', met name:
"flooding compound: A substance surrounding the buffer tubes of a fiber-optic cable, to prevent water intrusion into the interstices in the event of a breach of the jacket."

maar kan niet direct het NL equivalent vinden. Kent iemand wel de term die we in het NL gebruiken?
