Doch Kommunikation im Raum folgt eigenen Gesetzen.

Taken from a marketing document for a exhibition stand construction company.

Can anyone tell me what exactly is implied by "Doch Kommunikation im Raum folgt eigenen Gesetzen"? I was thinking maybe something along the lines of having difficulty explaining your ideas, but no advertising agency is going like hearing that about themselves. TIA.

Discussion

Cilian O'Tuama Jul 27, 2005:
Could perhaps be indoor communication, or even face-to-face (direct) communication...? I suggest asking the client.
Harry Borsje Jul 27, 2005:
3-dimensional / in three dimensions (even spatial communication could be an option)
Brie Vernier Jul 27, 2005:
@lucasm: the problem is clearly with "im Raum". I don't have a good solution, but it has to do with communicating in terms of space/design, i.e. with a stand/booth at a trade fair, which follows different laws than communicating in words/text

What about the sentence don't you understand? Which word? "Communication follows its own logic"

communicating big ideas in small spaces

How about something along the lines of "communicating big ideas in small spaces is not always easy/takes special skill/etc."?
Peer comment(s):

agree BrigitteHilgner : or "limited", "clearly defined" spaces

agree Lori Dendy-Molz : or "big ideas in defined spaces," although it's not as catchy. Stands could conceivably be large.

in this format

I admit, this is a weasly suggestion. However, since the first sentence sets the context - exhibition stand/booth design/decor - then perhaps => But communicating effectively in this format has its own set of rules (or logic or in a 3-D format as suggested above)
