aluminium (or aluminum) kraft paper

Hi MJ!

Very unsure, but these IS such a thing as kraft paper, and a substantial number of references to aluminium or aluminum kraft paper. If it's what I have seen and imagine to be, I assume it's a type of insulating or waterproofing material, but to be honest I don't know it's exact function.

Good luck!

agree tazdog (X) : I think I'd say aluminum/kraft (probably a laminate) and leave it at that. MJ, see http://www.agasa.net/térmicos.htm and http://www.pbisupply.com/Product/Default.asp?id=4

Thanks Cindy, I'd also look to simplify... I'd also expectthere to be a more down-to-earth name, but the little I know about construction relates more to the tea-break! Bacon sarnie anyone? :O) :O)

aluminum foil

"Kraft" is a German word meaning strong. It is applied to the unbleached, "kraft paper" because of its strength, and because it is made using the Kraft process.
It doesn't seem to have any significance to aluminum foil, other than some manufacturers have hi-jacked it for their own use. There are kraft-aluminum power boats. This certainly doesn't mean they are made of foil.
In this case, the hung ceiling panels of alumisol are a polyurethane board laminated with aluminum foil.
