Discussion

Tejinder Soodan Jul 5, 2006:
It's good that asker understands the concerns raised by pros. No one can learn any language just by asking some questions here. As the KudoZ tagline says, this site is for "Translators helping translators", not for help in chating on intenet.
Kamran Nadeem Jul 5, 2006:
Thank you for the understanding Bhagassarian. I hope you join some coure/class for learning of Urdu/Punjabi and we will no more see these kind of postings here.

Naseeruddin (X) Jul 5, 2006:
The same issue was raised by me under http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1434428. By the way, thanks for your understanding Bhagassarian.
baghassarian (asker) Jul 5, 2006:
I know that this site is not for learning, i just want to understand some basics vocabularies, again, sorry for any incovenience. I hope this issue ENDS here by now.
Kamran Nadeem Jul 5, 2006:
Unfortunately this site is not meant for your online fun and to translate the messages you receive while chatting online with other people. So please refrain from any further postings. This will be a good idea.
Naseeruddin (X) Jul 5, 2006:
I feel all pros should not answer such questions which can easily be judged as offensive or numerous personal - nothing to do with translation. You will never be able to learn any language this way. To get your translation, YOU BETTER POST THEM AS A JOB.
Naseeruddin (X) Jul 5, 2006:
This has nothing to do with personal nature questions. You can ask such questions for sure but there should be a limit. Any new-comer pros here can easily find out that the questions you have posted, have nothing to do with translation.
Naseeruddin (X) Jul 5, 2006:
You better join a class or such learning and ofcourse, if there are any confusions/questions then, we all are here to help you. This site is purely for pros help in translation who find any term phrase difficult to be put in a particular terminology.
Naseeruddin (X) Jul 5, 2006:
I am compelled to write again to this asker. Please do not take it personally. You have again posted a term which is somewhat of offensive nature. I understand you are in learning phase for Urdu and Punjabi languages but do you think here you can learn?
baghassarian (asker) Jul 5, 2006:
this is a huge missunderstanding Im NOT a punjab NOR urdu speaker, Im still trying to learn, whatever I post here I have no idea of what it means, I get a lot of messages on the net in those languages and I just wnat to know what some of them means, i dont have an idea if they are offensive or not, if they are im glad to know so I will block the person who sent me such term, I also dont want and dont like offensive and nasty stuff, so before asking to ban me, try to understand what was the cause of it
abufaraz Jul 5, 2006:
There are innumerable translation agencies on the net for this purpose. Therefore the asker is requested to refrain from posting such questions of personal nature in future and as Kudos is a public place, please let it be free from such indecent material.
abufaraz Jul 5, 2006:
I fully support Kamran and Ashar and have already expressed the same in the previous question asked by him/her. This site is not the proper place to get the immodest and offensive phrases translated which are sent by his/her friends.
Ashar Jul 4, 2006:
I think Kamran is absolutely correct in his assessment. Please don't try to make it a bizarre place. In other forums we help banning the askers who try to become oversmart while using foul language deliberately. I hope you will be careful in future.
Kamran Nadeem Jul 4, 2006:
That is the reason no one replied that Kudoz. I appreciate all those Urdu pros.Again this site is for the professional translators and SERIOUS LANGUAGE LEARNERS, and not for the translation of nasty online chatting.
Kamran Nadeem Jul 4, 2006:
I am sorry to point out that you are misusing this site by posting such kind of questions. I request the pros not to answer the questions posted by this person. Few days before she posted an Urdu term "Allah Kay naam per biwi day do" This is nasty.
baghassarian (asker) Jul 4, 2006:
By the way i dont get about your sayign about I asked few days about indecent questions. Tell me, where´s the free will of using this site? I am not guilty because of people tell me indecent stuff in a language that I dont understand.
baghassarian (asker) Jul 4, 2006:
I AM SORRY BUT i dont have any idea of what are you talking about.
I asked to translate thsi because i have no idea what´s written there, so if you jsut want to criticize and not help please dont need to answer my question.

This site is to help translating any kind of thing no matter what, if I knew that was offensive or something, I OF COURSE could click that is offensive, so i didnt because I received that in a mail and I got confused.
Please who wants just to criticize and not help, feel free to not answer my question.
Kamran Nadeem Jul 4, 2006:
I have observed that for last few days you are asking the questions which are not decent and may be offensive. So please do not ask suck kind of questions, as this site is for the professional translators who basically need help in their translation work.
