German term

Berufsmittelschule

German to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy
This is from a translation from Swiss German to English about training centres offering vocational training for young people. The text distinguishes between "Berufsfachschule" and "Berufsmittelschule". I put "technical college" for the former but am not sure what the difference is between the two terms. The terms occur as bullet items in a PPT presentation so I cannot give much more context. Basically, trainees attend one of these two institutions over a four-year period, which also involves work placements.

Wiki is a great resource for many things: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulsystem_in_der_Schweiz
It doesn't appear to address your question directly, but there are some good links that could help. Try the English version, too.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks, I left "Berufsmittelschule" in German and added the translation in brackets. Thanks also to Woodstock for the useful link."
