Den strengpressede profil er muligvis de teleskopiske/sammenskydelige ben selv. "Conductor" - Ledning er bare mht at profilen kan lede (i rør; varme, elektricitet o.s.v.)
I looked up glydendals ordbog, but they had a really poor definition in Danish of a conductor, something like band leader, but this is NOT what conductor means in this context. It means the opposite of insulator here. Sometimes a pipe can be called a conductor even though it's primary purpose isn't to conduct anything, it just an inherant property of the pipe. That's what I assumed in this case.
