trespasse ou goodwill e o valor atribuido a unidade economica adquirida para alem daquele que pode ser atribuido directamente a bens fisicos. Compra-se uma empresa por 100, 50 para o predio, 10 para os stocks mercadorias, 10 para diversos mobiliarios etc, e a diferenca para imobilizacoes incorporeas, trespasse (goodwill) em Portugal.

OK, I knew this definition -Translation... But in a balance sheet.... I only know Brazilian Portuguese, and if I compare with Brazilian balance sheets, goodwill makes sense, how could I put "trespass" on a balance sheet

disagree rhandler : Sorry to disagree, but the correct answer is "trespass - offense of damaging a person or his property or rights; unlawfully entry into another's territory, intrusion". "Imobilizações incorpóreas" could be "goodwill", but not trespasses.

sorry, rhandler but I am right ! Your definition of trespasse is also correct but in another context.
agree Deborah do Carmo : (post grading) the answer is most definitely goodwill - see Dicionário Inglês-Português de Economia (F Nogueira dos Santos) , for example
