Dutch term

klos

Dutch to English Bus/Financial Insurance
as in "inschrijving klos" and "royement klos". No more context I'm afraid , it's just a list of error codes with these couple of words of explanation.

Any suggestions?

There's a lot of 'klos' in this doc: http://mail.python.org/pipermail/tutor/2001-June/006487.html ; perhaps it's simply a tag or whatnot that hasn't been removed.

Again unlikely. This is a functional description of a computer system that doesn't go down to that level - it is talking about the insurance side not the IT.

Given that it's an IT system, is it possible that klos=spool, or is that too obvious?

I think the klos is short for a ' ... landelijk ... systeem'; some sort of registration system.

Would this not be an abbreviation word for "moderne, progressieve spelling" vorm van afkorting voor 'clausule' =klos?

Sorry! I should have said. the doc is about an IT system for checking changes to various types of insurance policies - cancellation, conversion to paid-up etc. These phrases occur in the list of change codes in the life insurance sector in particular.
