French term

enfant au premier degré

French to English Law/Patents
This is a document about a trust fund and I am wondering if CHILDREN would be enough to express this meaning or if there is a more accurate term in English to express this degree of relationship between parents and children. The only thing I found related to this is "direct line of descendents".

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Jun 26, 2002:
Clarification "enfant au premier degr" This is an explanation of what the term really means.

2 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "This is a term used in a document coming from Quebec. I asked a lawyer and they told me that they use "first-degree children" for this concept, even though it might seem a bit ackward. Thanks. "
