German term
verkürzte Beizzeit
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Engineering: Industrial
Metal processing
Here this term is used with reference to aluminium parts, but that probably makes little or no difference. I'm not sure whether the pickling time is "verkürzt" simply in the sense of "shorter", or in the sense of "accelerated"/"quicker" or "rapid".

shortened/reduced pickling time
Regardless of context -- additional pretreatment, altered process conditions (e.g. higher temperature), different pickling agent, ... -- the pickling time has been reduced so that the term in question should be translated as shortened/reduced pickling time.
Note from asker:
@ Cilian: Why "neutral" in that case? |
