It's one of those words that means many many things.
Here "floor". Hardly matters it if is a separate floor (storey) or just part of the floor one is on.
In construction "plateau" is used for floors that are basically unpartitioned. Hence "plateau de bureaux"
Un plateau de bureaux de 275 m², traversant avec vue imprenable sur ... Dans un immeuble de bureaux, Le Prado Mermoz, un plateau de bureaux de 90 m² environ ...
