The Jefe de Seguridad y Salud Laboral of a construction project will be responsible, among others, for:

labores de supervisión predictiva y correctiva a pie de obra en cada uno de los tajos en ejecución, efectuando los controles constantes y de advertencia que la situación determine

I assume this just means he will point out when something is not being done correctly, but I cannot think of a good, succinct way of putting this and "warning control" just doesn't work... (IMHO)
