Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Aluminum profiles
Voor het isoleren van uw aluminium profielen kan U kiezen uit een zeer uitgebreid gamma polyamide stegen.

I would very much appreciate a translation for steeg/stegen in this context. It seems there can also be several of them in an aluminum profile.

That would be mu recommendation as well. As Mollepotje mentioned, the usage here may be influenced by the German word 'Steg', which can be applied to any object that is relatively long, narrow or thin, and more or less straight.

I think it does have to do with window/door frames. I'm fairly sure it refers to the strips that would fit into aluminum channels in the profile, so I'll probably just call them strips.

maybe the dutch text isn't the original one? probably the german word Steg is translated into steeg in dutch... (false friend?)
Steg in german can be translated into english : NOB / NOBBY for industrial issues; in dutch that is 'nop'
In dutch the word 'noppenprofiel' exists.
