French term
masses

Other
Agriculture
Tractors
It's hand written and is complaining about having to remove the front loader in order to fit "des masses". Not 100% sure of spelling as writing is untidy.

(ballast) weights
Sounds like he's talking about the need to add ballast weights to the tractor (often required for balance).

: Sounds logical to me; and it must be a real pain if you have to remove the front loader each time! / People leave f/l on all the time, even when using back accessories

Thanks, Tony. The thing that's puzzling me is that I didn't think ballast weights were need at the front with a front-end loader, but were needed at the rear. I suppose it depends on the exact configuration.

: I wouldn't think you'd need xtra weight if you had a front end loader either, but I suppose it's possible. I've seen rigs where they just detach the scoop and then use the rest of the loader to pick up a heavy ballast weight with hooks anchored in it.
