English term

tableided

English to German Tech/Engineering Internet, e-Commerce
For example, if you submit a 1200 pixel by 1500 pixel image for an apparel product, it will be printed at 8" by 10".

(1200 pixels *tableided* by 150 pixels/inch = 8 inches, 1500 pixels *tableided* by 150 pixels/inch = 10 inches.)

pocket: 600 x 600 pixels = 4" x 4"

vertical: 1800 x 2100 pixels = 12" x 14"

Discussion

David Williams May 12, 2009:
That crossed my mind too but it would be a fairly crazy thing to do, as the DIVersity of mistakes that could arise is immense!
Nesrin May 12, 2009:
I was thinking the same thing, Jan, - that it's a "Find and Replace" error, but with lacking HTML knowledge, I couldn't think of a reason for replacing DIV with TABLE.
Jan Neersoe May 12, 2009:
S&R? Somebody MIGHT have done a global search & replace operation to replace the HTML "DIV" element with "TABLE" (why, I don't know). Hence, "divided" becomes "tableided". At least that's the only plausible explanation I can come up with.
Konrad Schultz May 12, 2009:
Umformulieren 1200 Pixel (entspricht 20,32 cm oder 8" by 150 dpi) www.piqs.de/fotos/61032.html
Birgit Samuel May 11, 2009:
I think what is meant is a table ID (Tabellenkennung) - used as a verb table-ID'ed . A 1200 pixel by 1500 pixel image refers to table ID 8" by 10". Basically it is a reference ID.
Hans G. Liepert May 11, 2009:
tabloided? wild guess
Nesrin May 11, 2009:
Christian... I found that one too, but "pixels table" doesn't seem to make much more sense. At least, it's not a common term. I think "table" crept in here mysteriously too.
Christian Weber May 11, 2009:
Agree Ich denke es könnte eine fehlerhaft entstandene Mischung aus "pixels table divided" sein. Siehe auch:

Nesrin May 11, 2009:
Like David says... Although the term can be found handful of times on the internet, they're all copied from one document (e.g http://zazzlr.wordpress.com/2008/11/26/recommended-image-siz... ) but it can also be found without the mysterious "table" here:
"if you submit a 1200 pixel by 1500 pixel image for an apparel product, it will be printed at 8" by 10". (1200 pixels divided by 150 pixels/inch = 8 inches, 1500 pixels divided by 150 pixels/inch = 10 inches.)" http://www.zazzle.com/help/helpcreating.asp
David Williams May 11, 2009:
Mistake or neologism The author evidently means divided.
