In the following phrase:
Significa alargar o domínio da arquitectura *entre-muros*, na sua dimensão mais domesticamente privada, à grande escala. Uma espécie de inside/outside.
is intramural used in the same way in English? or is 'internal' a suitable translation? It almost feels as though it should be 'domestic' but that would be repetitive in the context. The following sentence seems to imply that internal would be appropriate.

Hmmm...given the fuller context, I think my first impression may be valid, but I don't have a way to say it that "feels good" to me. My first idea was on the line of "home-grown", "locally produced", as it were. There may be a play on the two concepts "interior archictecture" (a more literal translation doesn't sound right to me) and the broader theme of taking the architecture produced by "a prata da casa"--to use a Portuguese expression--(at the moment I can't come up with the English equivalent for that besides "home-grown"). Perhaps it is the play between the ideas of "interior" vs. "internal". HTH.

| this seems to make more sense in the context - and fits in with the rest of the sentence (the idea of inside/outside) and also the theme of the article, which is taking Portuguese architecture beyond or outside Portugal. I had used internal, but I think interior is probably better, thanks! |

I know it seams long compared to the PT one, but if I was to read plain wall I would picture it as the walls of the actual building or house, therefore I would suggest adding 'fence', take a look:
