medicos internistas y subespecialistas, de atención primaria o general

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) seminario de medicina interna

those specializing in internal medicine and other specialities, as well as primary care....

physicians or general practitioners, as well as residents.

"Internal medicine" is in itself a specialized area within medicine. I believe that "subespecialistas" here simply means "specialty area." I assume that a distinction is being drawn between "primary care physicians" and "general practitioners" (a distinction that escapes me). Finally, "medical residents" would be redundant in the present context.

Suerte.

specialists in internal medicine and subspecialists in primary care

Internista is a specialist in internal medicine (sometimes called "internists", but most prefer the long way). Subspecialists are those that first do Internal Medicine and then go on to a more specialized discipline such as neurology or cardiology.

neutral liz askew : Just a question..do internists only specialise in Internal Medicine then, maybe a silly question..?//Thank you!!

Yes. It's not a silly question. Many people confuse "internist" with "intern". All physicians and surgeons do an internship, but not all are internists. That's one of the reasons so many prefer to be called Specialists in Internal Medicine.
