Italian term

quanto di meglio disponibile

Italian to English Other Other
Can't quite get my head round this

From a letter

"Certamente abbiamo contribuito a far conoscere i prodotti X che rappresentavano quanto di meglio disponibile a livello internazionale".

Does it mean that these products represented the best available internationally?

TIA

if you wanted something with a more positive tone (of course 'the best available' is also accurate, however to my ears it might have a hint of the damning-with-faint-praise about it depending on context (it was only the best 'cos there was nothing better))
Peer comment(s):

neutral James (Jim) Davis : I can see your point, but this seems too flowery for the simple reporting style of the italian.
