@Bernhard If we are on the same wave-length ( design not material) I would tend towards Ausführung for finish, maybe that would work in connection with presentation.

@Spud Hi Spud. I am thinking along those lines. but I am not sure what to call this in German - something with -muster or -beipiele? (I found Finish-Platten but as you say, that's probably not it). He is an interior designer.
Right now, I guess I will go with Finish-/Präsentationstafeln.

@Bernhard If the person carried out office duties, I cannot imagine this refers to a construction material / product, more like sample boards for architectural finishes, or something similar.

Although in other contexts this is used, I wasn't sure. I went with Finish-Tafeln (although that doesn't sound right to me either) and asked for feedback but I have not received any. Thank you for your contribution.
