I'm translating a company profile for a large retailer in Columbia, and just don't know what to do with this part of the sentence. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Context:
"El Grupo XXXXX es la compañía líder del comercio al detal en Colombia, con más de un siglo de experiencia al sumar la historia de varias culturas empresariales."
It goes on to state their annual takings from last year, so providing further context wouldn't really help. I know the Group has acquired many smaller Colombian retailers/companies over the years, so I guess they are trying to express this...

The Group was founded in 1905, so they actually have more than 100 years experience "al sumar la historia de varias culturas empresariales"
This would be like saying that at my language school, we have way more than a hundred years of experience in teaching (aagh - it's true if you calculate it that way!)
"More than a hundred years of joint business experience" might be a starting point...
