Finnish term
kuorma
Finnish to English
Other

kuormakirja
I have got a delivery note here with two cells I cannot make the difference between. One says *kuormanro* and the other says *load no.*. The document is in Finnish. And the two following numbers are, obviously, different.
I'm at a loss.
Thanks for any ideas.

You're right to think it is strange, because kuorma is load. Given the use and misuse if English in Finnish business contexts, this company could mean something different by the two terms...perhaps one indicates a larger shipment with subloads. Just guessing... But kuorma is load.

Could they be using two different numbering systems simultaneously in different national divisions of the company?
This has the feeling of something you need to go back to the source and ask about, since all you can do on you own is guess.

Note from asker:
Thank you, Owen, will do that. It seems to be the only sensible thing to do. |

Kuormano is load no. So, they are using different numbers for some reason or, this is a mistake.

I would ask the company about this, as suggested by somebody else too.
