bombard the consumer

As long as the text is for internal consumption, this is fine. If it is for external readers, definitely NOT

thanks, Ninck. Nothing like a bit of gratuitous violence every now and then.

attract the attention of the consumer

It seems like the text is clearly referring to the objective of attracting the consumer to a specific website(s), although it does not exactly say this.

Boa sorte.

something akin to being "bombarded" by commercials on the radio and TV all the time.......as I'm working I listen to the radio and there isn't one decent station that does not have a block of 10 minutes or so without commercials :) I believe this is the idea of "cercar o consumidor" in this context

reach the consumer

É mais apropriado.
"cercar" o consumidor já é mau português.

target the consumer

circumscribe as in to nail down /target/draw in/define
or even ambush in such as to direct him to other relevant pages
Peer comment(s):

agree Jorge Soares : Yes, I think "draw in" and "nail down" are very good. "Draw in" if making the option for a "softer" translation, "nail down" if the option is to pass the "aggressivity" of their strategy reflected in the expression "cercar", like "giving no chance".

Thank you so very much Jorge & Julie for excellent suggestions !!!

capture the consumer

"cercar" suggests fencing the consumer in, so that he can´t escape. In other words, capture him.

See article in link below about "Consumer Capture".

to besiege consumers

The expression in Portuguese has a military connotation too and I believe they are used both in Portuguese as well as in English in marketing jargon. You just have to search the web and you will find it.
