Spanish term

transfuguismo

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Legal services
Spanish law firm offering training in the below. For a UK audience.

I've checked out 'defection / anti-defection / no-defection/ non-defection' but defection seems to be used for defecting to other political parties or in other contexts apart from employment contracts. Just wondering if there is another term regularly used in this context.

# Todo lo pactable en un contrato de trabajo: obligatoriedad de horas extras, pactos de no concurrencia ni competencia postcontractual, transfuguismo, protección a los inventos y desarrollos, etc.

Employee poaching, may be a valid term here.
Bill Harrison (X) Feb 9, 2011:
Lisa, Charles and Phil have convinced me that I may have this one wrong so withdrawing answer and I think in fact that your interpretation is right, although the appropriate word escapes me. I think it may mean defection in the sense of leaving to work for a competitor.

anti-headhunting

My take on it. Taking the political meaning of 'tránsfuga' and applying it to your context, I arrived at this. Has reasonable hits, and this is my understanding. Basically a provision for the company to prevent their staff from detracting (or being headhunted) with all their valuable information.

Gracias, Jairo.
agree Bill Harrison (X) : In the absence of a better sounding phrase I think this must be right. PS. How about 'employee poaching'??

Cheers Bill. Yeah, I too feel there's a better rendition lurking out there, but just can't think of it/find it. This conveys the meaning well, at least...//For now, 'anti-headhunting' is floating my boat still.

Please take a look at my links, since these clauses seem to cover transfuguismo and no concurrencia and comeptencia... Sorry, I should have made this clearer to start with.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Bill Harrison (X) : That's already been covered in the context.

defection (to another company)

This definition says it's from politics, but apparently it's a word used in companies and businesses as well:

Diccionario Espasa Concise © 2000 Espasa Calpe:
defector [dɪ'fektəʳ] n Pol tránsfuga
