Hello again
I am still on a spreadsheet of physicians' comments in answer to a question about the criteria they use to differentiate between mild to moderate cases of RA.
Thank you!
I am not sure whether they mean "persistent" here, or "that is so avidly monitored/followed-up

[which is] so persistent
Your own reading looks right to me. Another case of where we have to guess...
Note from asker:
The glossary entry should be "which is so frequent". |

: This looks right to me. Maybe it refers to duration of morning stiffness, less than 1h in mild RA, up to 2hs in moderate RA (http://www.healthcentral.com/rheumatoid-arthritis/c/53/11248...

Discussion
That puzzled me, I must admit. As you say, "tan seguida" would normally mean "frequent". But, AFAIK, RA is a chronic disease. I believe it can go through cycles of greater and lesser intensity, but the frequency of these is very low, maybe 2 to 4 per year, I think. That seems a very low frequency to use as a diagnostic criterion, it would take a year or two to decide if someone's RA was mild or moderate. That's why I preferred liz's idea of "persistent", which is a bit ambiguous and could be taken to mean either frequency, or the tendency of the RA to drag on once it's appeared.
