It may happen that materials behave quite differently when they are cut.
Correspondingly, a dull knife behaves differently than a well ground knife. A
high quality standard regarding overcut / undercut tolerances can be obtained
by using a ***tilting backgauge*** which is offered as an optional equipment.
Tolerances in the cutting process may result from the material, the type of knife
or even the clamping pressure. The tilting backgauge can be adapted to varying
cutting situations. Depending on the required correction you can modify the
vertical position of the backgauge with regard to the knife.
