German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial packaging technology
Does anyone know the correct translation of this term? I found English language websites with "banderoling" but all of them were foreign language websites translated into English so I'm not sure that this is the correct English language term. I am leaning towards "banding", "bundling", "band packaging", but I thought I'd ask the experts. Here's the context. It's in a statement from a manager of a company that specializes in plastic films for diverse uses:
"Die ganze Vielseitigkeit unserer Produktfamilie kommt bei der Banderolierverpackung unterschiedlichster Artikel zum Tragen."

I found sites with sleeve wrapping as well, Alison. And the only sites with banderoling/banderolling that I've seen or have had pointed out to me thus far have been patents. I realize that "patentese", even if English was the original language, can be rather different from "regular" technical language, so I'll wait to see what comes up. Meanwhile, thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Das beschreibt eine Maschine, die auch "Sleeve Wrapper" genannt wird.
Oder schau mal unter http://www.fujiseal.co.jp/americas/shrink_label.html nach. Das würde zutreffen, wenn es sich um eine derartige Anwendung handelt.

@John It could well be "sleeve wrapping", depending on the precise context. MS Welling Dictionary of Plastics and Rubber Technology offers Banderoliermaschine - sleeve wrapping machine.
