Hi, Akiko. Actually, this is just a short line in the book, but the writer wants to use the word "seppuku" for suicide. I think, from the story, it's about the suicide of two colleagues working in a laboratory. They are not committing suicide but one colleague is fed up and just uses the expression in frustration. |
