English to French Tech/Engineering Geology defect in rock masses
"A surface or crack across which the rock has little or no tensile strength. May sometimes be called "fissure".
This term is different to "joint".
Would that be just called "une séparation" in geology?

thank you . I wonder however, if this is only a "très petite veine", if that would fit the description above, where it says that it can be a "surface".
