My boss needs to know how to say "Yo Perdono" (I forgive) in Chinese, both traditional and simplified. This is the first time I pose a question in proz. Is this the right place to do it? Thank you in advance.

我原谅/我原諒
Just for reference. However, in Chinese, we usually say this with an object/complement. For example, "Yo te perdono" (I forgive you), where the "te" (you) is the object/complement...
Hope this helps. More information will be helpful to better help you out:-)

This is 100% standard Chinese, simplified/traditional. Not dialect at all:-)

Yo (te) perdono=
我原谅(你): Simplified Chinese
我原諒(你): Traditional Chinese
In most cases, Simplified Chinese works well, especially in international context...which is more and more used in the world...

Note from asker:
Thank you so much, Adison! One question: what dialect of Chinese is this? Thanks! |
Oh, sorry, I did not explain myself. I meant to ask the variant. In Spanish, for example, there's Argentinean Spanish, Peruvian Spanish, Mexican Spanish... Each of them is considered a dialect (variant) of the Spanish language. So this is Chinese Traditional. Is it the same than Chinese Simplified in this case? Thank you so much for your help, Adsion! Oh, the object... Actually, there is no object. In Spanish, we would also use "te": Yo te perdono (I forgive you). However, in this case, what my boss want to say is that the subject forgives, no matter who and no matter what. She wants to emphasize that it is the subject who decides to forgive and who enjoys the benefits of forgiving. In case an object is compulsory in Chinese, would you suggest something that could be kind of neutral? |

Comment: "Thanks, Adsion! I will use simplified Chinese, but without the object. Please let me know if you think we are making a mistake. Thanks!"
