nodular atheromatosis Explanation: I am pretty sure there's a spelling error involved, it should be knoopatheromatose. The only exact reference I can find is a in a patent (line 14 of p31 in the text, or left column on p17 of the pdf): (...) diabetic symptoms on the feet (ulcers of the lower extremities and of the feet), diabetic nephropathy in its two forms - diffuse and nodular - atheromatosis (increase in HDL lipoproteins promoting the removal of cholesterol from atheroma plaques (...) http://www.google.com/patents/US6399613.pdf Another reference: The atrial atheromatous process was distributed in elongated nodules, which had a ridged or corduroy-like appearance on gross examination. http://informahealthcare.com/doi/abs/10.3109/155138190090671... Pinkhof: atheromatose = degeneratief-necrotiserende veranderingen van de vaatwand atheroom = haard in de arteriewand, gevuld met debris, lipoïden en cholesterolkristallen atheromatosus = gepaard gaande met atheroomvorming |

aortic knob atheromatosis Explanation: We don't have enough of the medical report, that is why my confidence level is low. But perhaps the mean this knob: ....Typical calcifications of the aortic knob on routine chest x-ray are often associated with AAA. However, these radiological criteria alone do not provide sufficient sensitivity or specificity to predict aortic atheromatosis.... (...Aortic arch atheromatosis (AAA) is a common cause of cerebral embolism...) Aortic knob: the prominent shadow of the aortic arch on a frontal chest radiograph.
