French term

bases chrono

French to English Other Sports / Fitness / Recreation Motos
I'm translating the publicity material for a motorbike rally and associated events in France.
There is a list of "figures" relating to the event, which includes the following:

These are all timed tests or trials, but I'm not sure what "base" means here.

Hello
Following on from askers remark, all the events are timed so I guess that in the 2 x bases chrono, the participants do not leave at the same time and race 'separately'. Their respective times at the end give away who the winner is as opposed to who is first over the finishing line.
But it is going to be difficult to find a phrase at the beginning for the title and a second one for such an event as described above
Note from asker:
Hi, yes they are some kind time trial but it needs to be more specific than that as the general heading refers to time trials (épreuves chronométrées)

French definitions

http://www.moto-net.com/actualites-motos-1260-Dark-Dog-Moto-...

http://mototribu.com/competition/divers/mototour/2009/france...

Thanks Catherine, that really helps to corroborate the suggestion of regularity run
