Hello all,

anyone know what "fishers" can mean ?

Context : Erection instructions

"Rolls to be mounted on ground
1) To install support rollers preliminarily mounted on the relevant frames and to place on the right position on the ground according the drawing XXX Rev.D.
2) To sign the correct position, checking the centring and alignment with the line axis, and to fix the bases of roll supports by ****fishers*****
3) To mount the supports with rolls on the bases

What is your subject? What machine is erected? The rolls serve for what purpose? What means "to sign"?

Yes fishplate is "éclisse" ou "éclisse plate". It's really hard to know for which kind of machine it is as the English text is really bad and there is no pictures or illustration. Thank you for your help. I guess it's the correct term. the autor made his own custom-made terms in the whole text. Thank you :)

Could it be...? A colloquial term for 'fishplates'?

They come in various shapes and sizes, and are used in various fields; but I don't know if this is any way applies to your specific context?

If so, it's 'éclisse', isn't it?
