Como dice DLyons o Ricardo, máscara e interfaz son muy buenas opciones para "skin", pero dado la forma que tiene de expresarse en el texto (skinning), creo que debería utilizarse "La personalización (de la interfaz) continua/sigue adelante"

Aunque la opción que te han dado te puede valer aquí tienes otra alternativa. Skin es la interfaz cambiable que a modo de piel tienen algunas aplicaciones de tal manera que pueden "mudar" de piel y mostrar un aspecto diferente. Se puso muy de moda con los reproductores de MP3 tipo WinAmp.

This question is related to the software of the user interface of the programs and applications that we run in our computers.
As Microsoft explains in its bilingual glossary, “skin” as noun is “máscara” and as verb is the action of “cambiar la mascara”. In other words, it is “cambiar el aspecto visual de la interfaz del usuario”.
In this case, “skinning” is the action of changing the visual aspect of the user interface”, in Spanish: “la acción de cambiar el aspecto visual de la interfaz de usuario”.
Today, the new versions of MS-Windows and other operating systems give some options to make skinning. But the possibilities of “skinning” for the side of the user are limited. In some cases, you have to know the programming of HTML codes.
The “skinning” that the users can make for themselves is known as “personalization” of the user interface (“personalización de la interfaz del usuario”).
